What to Expect
College & professional interns are vital to our work at SPCC. Interns are immersed in SPCC's unique professional environment which blends evidenced based-practice and skillful, empathetic partnering with families we serve. Our partnerships with interns allow students to have firsthand experience of systems work, clinical skill building, current trends, professional communication, and collaboration, while providing the agency with additional support in serving the families and children in our programs. SPCC recognizes that interns bring fresh, innovative ways of thinking about the work we do, and we appreciate the collaborative partnership.
SPCC places great value on our interns, the partnership we create, and the services we provide the community. SPCC spends significant time, energy and assessment each year reviewing potential intern applications and conducting interviews. Our intent is to select interns whose learning needs, passions, commitment and professionalism are congruent with our agency and programs.
Due to limited internship opportunities and large numbers of applicants, we cannot guarantee that every applicant will be accepted.
