Visitation Center Support
451 E. Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620
At different times throughout the year, we look for individuals (age 21 & over) to volunteer in our Visitation programs to help support special events, provide assistance in busy times in our waiting rooms, or to add to creating a peaceful, nurturing and reliable Visitation Center environment. Tasks may include, reading books to children in the waiting room, organizing toys, or helping out with special events. Great candidates are those who interact well with parents and children of all ages, and can provide a calm and friendly presence with families and children who are experiencing challanging life circumstances and family relationships. After our volunteer application process, a volunteer would be contacted when specific Visitation Center needs arise that fall in to the schedule and volunteer availability that individual volunteers have. If you are interested in being considered for this volunteer opprotunity, please contact us through our online Volunteer Application.
Group Childcare Provider
148 S. Fitzhugh Street, Rochester, NY 14608
During the school year, our teen parent program typically provides a weekly group for young mothers to attend. During this group, there is usually the need for childcare for the little ones. Ideal volunteers are those who have experience caring for infants and toddlers, and who can provide high-quality care for 1 1/2 hours on a weekday late afternoon. Groups typically run in 8-week blocks and we are looking for volunteers who can commit to at least an 8-week period. High school and college students are welcome to apply. Please contact us through our online Volunteer Application to learn about current group schedule and childcare needs.
